They have the smoothest delivery process of any location I've gotten delivery from in this area (it's also free for me). Also the food is amazing and according to a gentleman who took me out, is even somewhat healthy. I also got the opportunity to dine in here and it's comfortable to hang out in with decent service for dine in. They also have BOGO deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I plan to take advantage of that at some point. So far I've had the chicken sandwich (which does come with crushed potato chips) and the fries along with the chicken platter. The sauces are amazing and they've got their own pineapple variety as well. Definitely worth going to if you're in the area considering it's the only location in NY State for this Colombian fast food restaurant.

I've been meaning to check this place out and finally had a chance. They have plenty of seating and televisions everywhere. The bathroom even has a television. If you're worried about missing a moment, there's no need to fret as the tvs are right there. They have deals on weekdays, such as bogo milkshakes, on Tuesdays. I had no idea this was a Colombian fast food joint. First time trying it out. I ordered the perro, which is a hot dog with everything on top of it. The perro is topped off with mozarella cheese, bacon bits, smashed chips, and quail eggs + homemade slaw on the side. It was quite an expensive hot dog. I also got the cachapas, which are sweet corn cakes. Ordered the queso y mas queso, which has only cheese. All in all, with the prices, I may or may not return.

Despite how abundant the Colombian food scene is in western Queens, it's seems surprising to me that Los Verdes is one of the only places in the area to score a Colombian style hot dog and/or burgers. A popular Florida based chain, this is the only location outside of the state and has been dishing out comfort food for nearly a decade. They have the look of a modern, fast casual establishment with plenty of seating. Before the pandemic, it was an easy spot to grab a bite at near the train stop and easy choice for late night eaters since they were open and delivering food, well past midnight. The food is hearty; perfect for hangover cures, or the ultimate cheat meal. It's not fancy but it's artery clogging and surprisingly tasty despite how messy some of the food looks. The hot dogs / perros calientes are every bit as worthy as the ones found in Jackson Heights (#1) and the various toppings make the hot dog both fun to eat and incredibly messy. They serve a double dog, which is literally two hot dogs served on a specialized bun and they also serve mini versions that make me think of sliders in hot dog form. Their burgers are not as exciting as the hot dogs, but no less are just as messy and equally indulgent. I am a fan of the all the crazy sauces, the potato chip sticks, the quail eggs, and the size. These burgers aren't cheap, but they're definitely not skimpy and go great with the fries. Another item I really appreciate is their maicitos, which is corn that is mixed with sauces and various toppings. It makes for a nice appetizer and quick snack on the go. I am not terribly fond of their arepas or their fried pork belly. The latter is almost always super dry. Now they're offering cachapas, the sweet corn cake that is probably one of the best things on the menu. They also have a parrilla option now as well, which is really solid for meat eaters. I think the stuffed tostones and arepas look intriguing, which is another reason for me to come back. Lastly, the staff is a mishmosh of young people behind the counter. They mean well, but sometimes service is a miss. The phones go unanswered, orders back up, or they may get the order wrong entirely. Even though the mishaps are noted, the food is usually good enough to forget it ever happened. ______________ (#1) Northern Blvd in Jackson Heights: The Colombian hot dog haven.

Los verdes New York is known for burgers, arepas, Colombian inspired street food. It was on my yelp collection for about year now and came today for the first time. I have tried arepas, tostones, enchiladas before. Somewhere has good arepas and some place don't. I came here today with a friend to have lunch. We ordered the arepa lunch menu that came with fries. The arepa had cheese and shredded beef with lots of flavors. The inside fillings was delicious but the arepa I didn't like it for some reason. The fries was so good, it was so crispy and fresh cut potatoes looking. Cachapa queso was the best on the items I have ordered. It was my first time trying and it was so good that i will definitely come back for more. If you wanna add meat or chicken and other stuff to cachapa it will be extra cost I believe. Queso quesadillas & fried yellow potatoes was just ehhhh for me. Fried yellow potatoes I thought it would have some salt on but nope it didn't just bland. The juices I got was good too! Mango and lulo Lulo drink the waitress explained to us what it was so it was thankful to her for explaining. Overall I had awesome experience at los verdes and will come by often to try other stuff on their menu and definitely get the cachapa again!.
